Curated by Bessie Smith Moulton "In June of 2007 my friends Anne Page, Cornelia Walworth, Grace DeGennaro and I went to an exhibit of Joseph Cornell's work at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Mass. entitled "Navigating the imagination". I believe it was Anne who said wouldn't it be fun to make a box a la Cornell. Later as we sat chatting over coffee, I promoted that notion by blindly pointing to a word on a page of the newspaper, which turned out to be the word "want."...An invitation went out asking artist friends to navigate their imagination by creating an art object a la Joseph Cornell with the title "Want." --Bessie Smith Moulton.
