Catalog published in accordance with an exhibition celebrating the life's work of paper artist Golda Lewis, at the American Museum of Papermaking, at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, from March 13, 2003 through June 6, 2003. Golda has generously donated 26 pieces of her art to the museum's collection.
Lewis has been called a "pioneer of paper," because she was one of the very first who explored the creative possibilities of paper and pulp. She took a traditionally two dimensional art form and added a third dimension. Having a background in metal and wood she started adding metals, paints, cans and wood to add a sculptural dimension.
