The Fourteenth Congress of the International Association of Bibliophiles was held in California from September 30-October 11, 1985. The program included visits to all major rare book libraries in the Los Angeles and San Francisco regions, as well as trips to Camarillo and Monterey. The Congress scheduled nine lectures, which are published in this volume. Topics include early binding, nuclear bibliography, the forgeries of T.J. Wise and H. Buxton Forman, and a discussion on music collecting, among others. Includes 50 plates b/w and color of manuscripts and antique book covers.
