This two-part series attempts to compile a brief account of recent discoveries surrounding the origin and development of the alphabet. Volume II covers the Aryan alphabets, with chapters discussing the Greek alphabet, alphabets of Hellenic origin, the Iranian alphabets, and Indian alphabets. Also includes several tables depicting examples of alphabets discussed including the Greek, Cypriote, Lycian, Hittite, Coptic, Slavonic, Glagolitic, Cyrillic, Russian, Ogham, Iranian, Persian, Runic, Zend, Parsi, and other alphabets.
