This is the exhibition catalog for The Arts and Crafts Movement in America 1876-1916 exhibition organized by the Art Museum, Princeton University and the Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibition ran at Princeton University from October 21-December 17, 1972; at The Art Institute of Chicago from February 24-April 22, 1973; and at the Renwick Gallery of the National Collection of Fine Arts, Smithsonian Institution from June 1-September 10, 1973. The project was first proposed in November 1970 as a small exhibition to present a comprehensive survey of one of the most significant movements in late nineteenth-century America.
