Description:This is the catalog for an exhibition on the graphic work of Adrian Frutiger presented at the Monotype House from October 6-30, 1964. From Introduction: “In the present exhibition, an attempt has been made to assemble a representative collection of Frutiger’s work in several different, but related, fields. The thread of continuity is supplied by the title Graphismes, a word which defies translation – and needs done. Topics include new faces for filmsetting, type designs, marks, magazines, books, restyled series, wood engravings and sculptures. Includes illustrated examples of these designs. Frutiger was a typeface designer who influenced the direction of digital typography throughout the last half of the 20th century and into the 21st. He is perhapss best known for creating the Univers and Frutiger typefaces.
