Program for the Book Arts in the USA exhibition held at the Center for Book Arts from April 7, -May 12, 1990. The exhibition, organized by Richard Minsky, featured works by 51 artists, presenting a cultural depiction of the United States of America. From introduction: “It was hard selecting only 51 artists to represent Book Arts in the USA, as there are hundreds more doing innovative work…In the present collection of work I have tried to present a broad view of the varieties of work that are currently being pursued, and to include representation of the geographic distribution of this large country.” Artists include Kathleen Amt, John Eric Broaddus, Betsy Davids, Harry Duncan, Ann Fessler, Andrew Hoyem, Jack Hirschman, Stephanie Brody Lederman, Richard Minsky, Don and Pam Rash, Buzz Spector, Robert Tauber, Debra Weier, and Zena Zipporah, among others.
