Printmaking, creating with the arts, Typography, J.W. Ford Company
"Typothetae -- a term meaning master printers. In these sixteen pages we have endeavored to demonstrate many varieties of fine letterpress printing. We have used line, halftone, four-color process engravings, type, full-page solids, eleven colors of ink, and three different varieties of paper. In presenting these pages we hope to stimulate the creative thinking of everyone who sees them with the thought that from them may come ideas that may be helpful in making your next piece more attractive. The visual material used comes from many different periods of history and has offered the most exacting performance standards for our pressmen. Illustrations are captioned for what interest they may have for you." - The J. W. Ford Company
