Washi World Correspondence was published quarterly by The Hall of Awa Japanese Hand-made Paper Editorial office. In 1989, the Hall of Awa Japanese Handmade Paper was established as a non-profit museum, and it offers a work space and possibilities in creation of Awa Washi to artists worldwide. Each issue features an artist's work on the cover with a short bio/resume printed on the inside cover. Articles are printed in English and Japanese about paper making and related paper arts. Some of the articles have been translated from the American publication "Hand Papermaking" edited by Amanda Degener. "Established in 1989, this non-profit museum (also known as Washi Kaikan) is dedicated to the preservation of the techniques and skills of Awa washi for future generations as well as the expansion, promotion and introduction of Awa washi to the general public through workshop, demonstrations, exhibitions, lectures, etc. It was established through support received from the Fuji Paper group and the local, prefectural and national government. It serves as an information and research center and has an extensive collection of books and other information on paper and related matters. It also collaborates with artists who come to use the facilities to make washi for their individual projects." -awagami.com The Awagami Factory CBA Holdings Include: Vol. 13 September 1990 (volume 4 no. 4) Vol. 14 December 1990 (volume 5 no. 1) Vol. 15 March 1991 (volume 5 no. 2) Vol. 16 June 1991 (volume 5 no. 3)
