Book Arts Review was a quarterly publication started in 1982 and provided free to members of the Center for Book Arts in New York City until approximately 1991(?). It was published in January, April, July and October.

Prior to this, the title was named Book Arts (from Spring 1975-1982), then later Koob Stra (from 1993-circa 1997/8, reformatted as a newsletter), and then as Book Arts Review, New Series ((from Fall 1998-?, reformatted back to a quarterly journal).

The Center for Book Arts currently publishes artists' books, poetry chapbooks, poetry broadsides, exhibition catalogs, and more. Artist membership is through an application/selection of works process, as it was during the time of the Review printing.

About the Center for Book Arts: "The Center for Book Arts promotes active explorations of both contemporary and traditional artistic practices related to the book as an art object. The Center seeks to facilitate communication between the book arts community and the larger spheres of contemporary and literary arts, while being a model organization locally, nationally, and internationally within the field." - centerforbookarts.org CBA Holdings Include: Vol. 5, No. 3 July 1986 (Two copies): A folded poster with images of slides from the Summer Show of Artist Members in 1986 Vol. 6, No. 3 July 1987
