Description:This title covers an introduction to Victor and Carolyn Hammer, and includes a listing of the books printed at their various presses. Includes an introduction about the Hammer Press (p. 9-36) and a section entitled "Seven Presses: A Bibliography" (p. 37-85). This bibliography contains sections on Stamperia del Santuccio, The Wells College Press, The Hammer Press, The Bur Press, The Press of Carolyn Reading, The Anvil Press, and The King Library Press. Five hundred copies were printed for The Anvil Press, with one hundred reserved for The Grolier Club. Also included is a two-page brochure including a woodcut print from the Hammer collection.
