Unbound book (in 11 parts) based upon the International Calligraphy Today exhibition that opened in October 1980 at the ITC Center in New York City. The exhibition also held a return engagement in the summer of 1981.
"This book is not a catalog of the exhibition, rather a book based upon it. Because a few examples had to be returned to their owners immediately after the exhibition (before this book was contemplated), not every piece chosen for the exhibition is included here. However, the collection has been expanded by the jurors to include the work of a number of calligraphers not represented in 'International Calligraphy Today'. We have also endeavored to include examples by some of the masters/teachers of calligraphy in this century." - Introduction
