The Pushpin Group was created by Cooper Union classmates Seymour Chwast, Edward Sorel and Milton Glaser. Seymour Chwast teamed up with Steven Heller and Mohawk Paper Mills to conceive and print annual issues of Design and Style from 1986 to 1991 for a total of seven volumes. Each issue has a researcher on staff and ends with a selected bibliography. Descriptions are given of the papers and techniques used. Other publications by Chwast include The Nose and Pushpin Graphic. Steven Heller is the author of many books about design and graphic history. "Mohawk Paper Mills and The Pushpin Group present a journal of resource and inspiration, a twice-yearly survey of historic design styles and their influence on contemporary graphic design. Reproduced on a variety of Mohawk papers using various printing techniques, Design and Style examines the relationship between printing and graphic style. Future issues will explore French Art Deco, Dutch De Stijl, Italian Futurism, Russian Constructivism, German Expressionism, DaDa, Surrealism and Post Modernism." - Design and Style 2, 1987 CBA Holdings Include: Streamline: Design and Style No. 2, 1987 Paris Deco: Design and Style No. 3, 1988
