Brochure for the Books of the Spanish Exile exhibition held at la Bioblioteca Peregrina from September 21-October 22, 2004. "In conjunction with the conference series 'Under another sun: exiles in Spanish Culture' organized by Instituto Cervantes New York, the Library 'Jorge Luis Borges' of the Institute is presenting a selection of works relating to exile under the title 'the pilgrim library: books of the Spanish exiles'. The aim of this small exhibition is to provide an overview of what exile meant in the lives and works of the most recent protagonists. In particular it deals with writers who left the country after the Spanish Civil War and who decided to continue writing, regardless of the circumstances, or perhaps motivated by them...Included in the exhibition are books and magazines by the exiles of '30 and works about these exiles" - Introduction
