DOCK(K)S was founded in France in 1976 by poet Julien Blaine, who assumed the management and publishing until 1989. The review has covered poetry and art in Latin America, Japan, Corsica, Poland, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, and Germany, among others. The principle aim of Doc(K)s is to serve as an essential vehicle of elementary poetry and art. Since 1976, DOCK(K)S has been divided into four series: running from 1976-1987, 1987-1989, 1990-2007, and 2006 to 2007.
