Guild of Book Workers, Bookbinding, Wait, Laura, Artists' books
The Guild of Book Workers Journal was published annually and/or semiannually by the Guild of Book Workers, a non-profit organization in New York City. The Journal was in production from 1962 through 2009. The journal was published for members but accepted articles written by non-members as well. Membership also included the Guild of Book Workers Newsletter and lists of sources and supplies.
This is volume 36, number 2 of the Guild of Book Workers Journal. This issue introduces a new feature entitled the “Artist’s Eye View” series, intended to be an informal discussion of the thought process underlying our performance. Here, Laura Wait discusses her exhibit of books entitled “Explorations and Transformations” which ran from February 16-July 31, 1998 at Regis University, in the Dayton Memorial Library. She shares both her ideas and her creative process and bookbinding structure. Contents: Introduction to the Artist by Jane Dalrymple-Hollo – An Artist’s Eye View of a Book Exhibit by Laura Wait.
