Offset, saddle stitch [not editioned, first printing 1,000 copies]. The title juxtaposes black and white photographs of individuals with narrative passages. "Double Readings was an installation constructed as an Individual Artist Project concurrent with the exhibit of the same name at Randolph Street Gallery. Chicago, April 1- May 12, 1987. The stairway form was constructed of approximately 4,500 books gathered for the installation and measured 5 x 5 x 16 feet. Eight accompanying bookcases held every book in my personal library, for which no special claim is advanced other than ownership. It is an autobiographical work. - Buzz Spector"
