"It is my intention that these books add to the conversation surrounding the issue of the violence that has been wrought upon our society by the nearly unrestricted availability of firearms in this country and that they help convey that victims of gun violence are more than just numbers; they are individuals. Not only are the lives of the individual victims and their families devastated, but also the fabric of our society. Approximately 187 gun incidents were reported for January 1, 2015.
