An illustrated catalog produced based exhibition of fifteenth century woodcuts and metalcuts displayed at the National Gallery of Art, the first in a series of exhibitions focused on graphic arts. The majority of the works are from the Gallery's Rosenwald collection, and many of them are rare incunabula woodcuts. This volume consists of an introduction to the collection, a history of woodcuts, detailed catalog entries, and reproductions of the displayed works.
