A letterpress printed broadside, advertising the 17th annual holiday open house and sale at the Center for Book Arts. The broadside is illustrated with a relief print of a large open book, with letters in various fonts pouring out, along with humorous human characters. Three states are noted. In the first state, the text is printed in dark purple and green on a matte white paper. In the second state, the text is also printed in dark purple and green, on a glossy white paper. In the third state, the text is printed in black and red, on a matte white paper. CBA has two copies in the first state, this is copy 1.
