"Geoffrey Hendricks (Littleton, New Hempshire, 1931 - New York, New York, 2018). Geoffrey Hendricks has been an eminent figure of Fluxus and moreover of Francesco Conz's collection. During his carrier he has participated in numerous Fluxus festivals worldwide and worked alongside with Allan Kaprow, Roy Lichtenchtein, Georges Brecht, Robert Watts, Robert Whitman and Lucas Samaras. With the sky as a favorite subject, Hendricks has called himself "Cloudsmith" as his work often utilizes sky imagery in a range of media such as paintings, objects, installations and performances. Hendricks was introduced to Francesco Conz in 1973 through a letter from Joe Jones that described Conz's ambitions and projects. Their first collaboration was a private, meditative performance held in Norway that led to more than three decades of continued collaboration.
