Offset and Risograph printed artists' book inspired by real estate property brochures and handouts. Printed on French and Arjowiggins papers. Risograph inks: Fluorescent Pink, Federal Blue, Yellow, Green, Bright Red. Printed at the The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Edition number 8 of 13.
The work includes a map of the property; types of housing; a booklet, overview of property, application inside; a map of approximate location; and a business card.
"This artist’s book is a mock on a real estate pamphlet on the idea of a utopian neighborhood. I wanted to expand and challenge the idea of utopia being the center of this project. Using satire through text and imagery speaks to the much obsessed concept of utopia within the artistic and philosophical world. I created this book using many of the collages I digitally constructed as a way to show the impossibility and beauty of utopia. This artist's book aims to question and play on the issues that come out of creating utopias." -- artist statement
