2020"--from colophon
"Most dinners concluded with my wry and hilarious grandpa's dinner-party balancing act, where he would grab whatever remaining post-meal items from the table and then build his own ramshackle Leaning Tower of Pisa. He'd work his structural magic with whatever the table dealt him that evening -- a sugar cube, a tangerine, a roasted chestnut, an empty Michelob bottle, a salt shaker, a dinner roll -- my grandma, her siblings and their spouses whistling and cheering him on with great delight. Towers is a tribute to my good-time having grandpa, who no doubt is continuing to steal the show at dinner parties on The Other Side."--excerpt from essay by Michelle Maguire
